Sackers Recycling Win International Trade Award!
The International Trade Award recognises the strength of British business overseas and it was Sackers Recycling that went on to lift the winner's trophy. In business since 1929 and with 51 staff, Sackers Recycling of Great Blakenham, Ipswich provide bespoke waste collection, recycling and disposal solutions for large and small businesses as well as domestic customers. With an enviable growth in both domestic and international turnover, Sackers is hoping to further develop business opportunities in the sub-Continent as this is where they see real potential for growth.
Accepting the award on behalf of Joint Managing Director, David Dodds who was in India visiting customers, Financial Director, Chris Oliver said: “We are delighted to have won this award. Understanding the culture and the people in procuring a good customer relationship is very important and this is something in which we have invested much time, effort and resource. I feel it's a reward for this investment to win the Chamber Award.”
Representatives of Sackers Recycling undertake visits to the markets usually twice a year and place a great deal of importance on face to face business. They currently export to eight countries regularly, with the largest two being China and India, David Dodds recently presented at a Suffolk International Trade Group on the challenges involved in trading with China.
Their achievement at the glittering Awards ceremony was not limited to International Trade as Sackers were also shortlisted for the Business of the Year Award.
