August 2008 New Plant
Our new waste sorting facility has now been operational for nine months
and has continued to prove that customers require a mixed waste recycling solution.
The site has continued to develop and at the end of August we are installing a wind separation unit
which will enable greater recycling rates and diversions of waste away from landfill.
There is a great deal of activity in the scrap metal yard where we are installing a large
1500HP metal shredder capable of shredding most scrap metals including cars.
This again will improve recycling rates and enable Sackers to process
over 200 tonne per day of scrap metal.
