He quickly progressed into the metal shed dealing with non-ferrous customers and driving a forklift too after showing strong initiative and drive. He then had 2 years away from the business working for a large insurance company in Ipswich, before a job became available back at Sackers on the weighbridge. In the 18 months working on the weighbridge he gained a better understanding of the whole process and this enabled him to understand customers needs. He was then offered the opportunity to move into the Transport Planner role which he did for 2 years which gave him further invaluable experience of the bigger operational workings of the business and he took great satisfaction by meeting customers expectations. For the next year the business moved into a Trainee Managers role on the Commercial Waste side, resulting into a promotion to Account Manager. He now is Business Development Manager. This involves Account Management, providing quotes for new and existing customers, managing the customer service and trying to better what we do every day. Building relationships with new and existing customers and suppliers is a key part of his day to day tasks. Toby says "Sackers have been great at allowing me to develop personally and I feel my ideas are always valued and listened to and this inspires me to do better every day". In his spare time he plays football, watches football and thinks about football! He also loves spending time with his family and friends, normally there’s football involved there too!
