How often have you had a good clear out, only to end up driving back home with paint cans because the your local waste site wouldn’t accept them?
You’re left wondering how to get rid of them, or even with bad and often unhelpful advice like soak up the liquid with absorbing products like cat litter or sand. Or even worse, place them in your black bin. This is terrible for the environment. On the 18th March, it’s World Recycling Day so it’s appropriate to highlight this issue.
Our waste sorting facility at Needham Market is fully licensed with the Environment Agency and you can turn up with your old paints wet or dry – between 9am and 3pm Monday to Friday. We will dispose of them safely for you. This is JUST paint and excludes items such as thinners and photo developer, etc.
The charge is £1.50 per ltr on the tin (minimum charge £15 + vat). You can even pay by card. It’s the safest and most responsible way to dispose of your paint.
